In a stunning unprecedented turn of events Matt Taibbi is bestowed the Hot Guy of the Day honor for the 2nd time in a row!!!
So remember that I said that it was a bit of a cheat to mention him on my blog, because he wasn't really a TV personality? Well, it looks like that's going to change. This past weekend, Matt showed up on Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, and it was announced that he would be a regular on the show as a field reporter type covering the presidential campaign. Over the years, Matt has been occasionally invited to speak in small news panels for the likes of MSNBC, and he's shown himself to be pretty camera-genic. He's well spoken, funny, inserts pop culture references when appropriate. His camera style is not nearly as agressive as his writing style, and actually he's rather reserved and not all that eager to get his words in. That doesn't mean he is not completely interesting and effective: cause he is. On Real Time, Matt got in very few words, but he did manage to get Tony Snow enraged enough that he started pounding the desk as he lectured the panel about all the progress we've made in Iraq. Matt's face was a perfect mix of disbelief and smirk, as he looked at Tony Snow the way one would look at a crazy homeless guy ranting about Jesus on the subways. Love it! I think we're going to be seeing a lot more of Matt on our tv screens in the future, and you can quote me on that.
